Key Performance Areas
Review developments in Chinese Life Insurance Industry (Competitors and Regulators)
Identify opportunities for innovative new products, or needs for changes to existing products due to new regulations or competitor offerings
Come up with new product ideas, or respond to requests from market
Test any product features with Sales and Marketing departments
Perform technical pricing and profit testing (together with Actuarial Dept)
Receive sign-off on product features and pricing from Chief Actuary and Product Development Director
Work with IT, Business Administration, Marketing, Legal and other departments to ensure any new product developments are delivered correctly, and within required timeframes
Assist Sales and Marketing teams in drafting product marketing and training material
Assist in investment of policyholder assets, ensuring they are in line with the requirements of the product design Requirement
Bachelor degree and above in Actuarial studies
Nearly or Recently qualified actuary preferred
Practical experience in product development (3+ years) of life insurance company is essential
Fluency in spoken and written English
Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is preferable (for SA candidates)
Excel and/or relevant computer knowledge are essential
